Bedpan Machine Disinfectant / Deodorizer System

Effective and efficient bedpan machine sanitisation.

Haigh is always looking for new ways and mechanisms to improve the exceptional efficiency of machinery designed to keep the hospital equipment and sluice room machinery disinfected and safe for patients and staff alike. As the machinery we provide is at the very pinnacle of the disinfection market, one of the most logical ways to try to improve the efficacy of the product is through what is fed into it rather than the operational efficiency of the machine itself.

In this case we are talking about the Haigh Quattro machine, which is our trademark bedpan macerator machine dosing system. From this point forward, this industry leading piece of equipment now benefits from a chemical dosing feed that introduces a concentrated liquid, in the form of Splodge Hygiene sanitiser, into each and every cycle as opposed to on a more minimal periodic basis.

The liquid in question has undergone rigorous independent scientific testing, which has found it to be highly effective against viruses, bacteria, mycobacterium and spores, including but not restricted to MRSA, Norovirus, Hepatitis C, HIV, H1N1, Tuberculosis and Clostridium difficile. The results of this new concentrate is not only the most effective disinfectant action possible, but it also results in a nicer smelling sluice room, which will boost the morale of nurses and care assistants who work in this environment. In addition to this the added disinfection efficiency significantly reduces the risk of any infection that could result from the waste disposal process. Any concerns over safety and risk of irritation are mitigated against as the concentrate in question is very safe to use and is non-irritating in its composition.

What sets the Haigh way apart from the competition, you might wonder? Well, competitors of course do use very acceptable and traditional sanitising liquids, but they dilute the dose with the entire volume of water for the disposal cycle. Instead of this method, Haigh is committed to introducing the sanitiser in a highly concentrated form. Not only this, but the concentrated sanitiser is even less diluted because of the timing of its introduction. Instead of being introduced along with the whole volume of water, it is introduced towards the end of the cleaning cycle. This not only means it is less diluted, but it also coats the inside of the machine, leading to greater efficiency of cleaning and a reduction in the amount of sanitiser that is flushed down the drain along with the water. It is amazing how these simple changes vastly improve the efficiency of disinfection in sluice room machinery.

There is very little point in implementing new systems that will be met with disinterest and dissatisfaction by the crucial staff members. That is why Haigh has ensured that it is a very easy system to implement. It is easy to refill and replace the sanitiser as well as to forward plan, by easily seeing how much is remaining. This really helps with the smooth and efficient implementation of the system.

Feedback from care professionals has been very positive noting in particular how much more pleasant the slucieroom is as a result to work in. For more information do not hesitate to get in touch via email or phone.
